It is with great pleasure that I share my latest article for Foreign Affairs: "What the U.S. Election Means for Ukraine". This piece is a critical examination of the elements needed for a successful Ukrainian offensive in 2025 in order to ensure that Kyiv has the most favorable conditions possible prior to a future negotiation process. This article provides recommendations for American, European, and Ukrainian policymakers and is designed to ensure Ukrainian victory over compromise and defeat. Additionally, this article contains reflections on the implications by either outcome of the 2024 presidential election.

Trump and Vance have signaled their desire for Ukrainian defeat, while Vice President Harris has the opportunity to amend the miscalculations of the Biden administration and bring peace to Europe through Ukrainian victory.
