Eugene and Cindy Vindman with Canvassers This Afternoon
It’s the last 48 hours of the race and the energy couldn’t be better. Riding off the momentum of a week of campaigning, Eugene’s team organized another day full of canvassing and election activities. Over the weekend the ground team knocked over 22,000 doors! moved by the
We started our day with mass at the First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dumfries, Virginia. I was struck by an especially moving sermon - to paraphrase the pastor, “I hope you’re feeling uncomfortable and that you don’t rest easy till you vote”. I can’t tell you how great it is to feel the warmth and energy of Sunday mass, with friends and supporters, after days of campaigning and it’s always great to meet more supporters of Eugene and Kamala Harris. The energy was revitalizing. We spent the afternoon canvasing throughout the district and managed to connect with voters - including many newly registered and first-time voters. Two highlights, a young immigrant family with three young children and a Capitol Police officer that enthusiastically reported he had already cast a ballot for Eugene.
Tomorrow I’ll be doing a volley of media engagements. I’ll be speaking with WSB Radio in Atlanta at 9:30 am, Tim Mak of the Counteroffensive at 10 on Substack Live, and an interview with a station in Wisconsin at 11:30. I’ll be sharing links and clips as they’re published so keep an eye out for more links over the next two days.
