Instead of working on issues that affect everyday Americans, House Republicans have spent months conducting a sham impeachment inquiry into President Biden. They leaned heavily on the allegations of Alexander Smirnov, who claimed he had communication with executives of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma that proved Biden abused his authority to help the company. Well, it turns out that Smirnov was lying to the FBI and has substantial ties to the Kremlin. This situation reminds me of my role in Trump’s first impeachment when he tried to force President Zelenskyy to carry out a quid pro quo to hurt Biden ahead of the 2020 election. Donald Trump and the Russians will keep trying these tricks to prevent President Biden from winning reelection, but we must not let them. I joined Wolf Blitzer to discuss these Russian misinformation campaigns.
